We are so excited to announce that our award-winning Compassionate Care Program is EXPANDING! For at least 2025, along with contraceptives, we are offering three new branches of accessible care.
We do not require any paperwork or financial information to access the program – just let our nurse or doctor know at your visit.
IN-HOUSE TREATMENT MEDICATIONS
We are offering FREE in-house treatment medications for common infections like yeast, bacterial vaginosis, and HSV (herpes). Patients must have an valid prescription from an HSHC physician. We are unable to provide supplies and medications to non-HSHC patients.
GENDER-AFFIRMING POST-OPERATIVE SUPPORT KITS
We are offering FREE clinical supplies and comfort items to support patients on their post-operative journeys. We are using a build-your-own kit model, so you can take what you need, and leave what you don’t! Our clinical team can show you where to pack your kit after your visit, or swing by during our opening hours!
GENDER-AFFIRMING INJECTION SUPPLIES
We are able to provide syringes and needles to HSHC patients using injectable hormones for no cost. Patients must have an valid hormone prescription from an HSHC physician. We are unable to provide supplies and medications to non-HSHC patients. Note: we are unable to supply sharps containers. They can be picked up from your local pharmacy.
The CFNS VISIONS Fund was established by an anonymous donor to support initiatives that make Nova Scotia a better place to live and learn. The endowed Fund will support Nova Scotians for generations to come. This year, nine grants have been awarded throughout the province, reflecting a diverse range of impactful programs.
